At Cathmor our ethos and values are an important part of every young person’s placement. Our staff team work hard to ensure:-

  • all support is delivered in a safe, appropriately structured and well-equipped environment.
  • all our young people are protected from abuse and neglect at all times.
  • We aim to help the young people make a sense of their lives so far and support them to make positive choices about their future development.
  • our staff team are carefully selected and recruited to address gender, age and ethnic balance in order to reflect diversity and positive role models.
  • all our staff have opportunities to develop through training, supervision and appraisal and we keep abreast of national and local social policy. Our skilled and experienced management team continually review our policies and guidance to reflect up to date and best methods of practice.

Staff Training and Support

At Cathmor we value our staff teams as we believe that our staff are our most valuable and important resource.

We have a progressive recruitment and selection policy and pride ourselves on our diverse and highly skilled team.

All new staff are required to complete our induction program and are then continually  trained and supported throughout their employment.
